Simple Data Exploration Demo

If you are new to data exploration, this example will give you a 5 minute demonstration on how to:

• Download a dataset
• Upload data into Kepler
• Explore the data

1. First you need to download a zip file from: https://datasets.wri.org/dataset/globalpowerplantdatabase

2. After opening the file, you will find a CSV file called "global_power_plant_database"

3. The next step is to open: https://kepler.gl/demo

4. Then you drop your CSV file onto the Kepler demo pop up

5. You should now see a map that looks like the illustration at the top of this post
